A trade show tent has one job: keep your exhibit dry, powered, and visible while thousands of attendees move past it. Mountain View Tent Company has staged shows with 75 or more tents on a single site, and we are the only event rental company in Colorado that manufactures every tent we rent. That control is why organizers call us when a collapsed canopy is not an option.
The common failure point we see is a pop-up canopy borrowed from a backyard party and pushed into a paved vendor row, with no wind rating, no engineered anchoring, and no safe way to hang signage. Trade show and convention tent rentals are different equipment. Our frame and tension structures carry real wind ratings, some installs have held through 50 mph gusts and a foot of snow, and they anchor to asphalt or concrete with weighted ballast. When you are planning your event, the tent is what everything else hangs from, so it gets specified, not grabbed off a shelf.
Convention footprints are driven by three numbers: booth count, aisle width, and peak occupancy. We size from those, not from a catalog default. A 20×20 handles a single branded activation, a 40×60 covers a registration hall, and our largest clear-span and Super Tent® structures cover festival-scale conventions with 300 or more guests and no interior poles blocking traffic. The table below is where we start before we walk the site.
| Tent Size | Coverage | Typical Use | Approx. Standing Capacity |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10x10 | 100 sq ft | Single vendor booth or check-in station | 10 to 12 |
| 20x20 | 400 sq ft | Branded activation or multi-table display | 40 to 50 |
| 40x60 | 2,400 sq ft | Registration hall or grouped exhibits | 240 to 300 |
| Clear-span / Super Tent® | 5,000+ sq ft | Full convention floor, pole-free | 500+ |
We match the style to the surface, the span, and how much of the tent must carry your brand.
On an exhibit floor, interior poles are the enemy of a clean booth grid. Our Unique™ Frame Tent and clear-span structures give you an unobstructed span for laying booths on a grid, and frame tents sit on any surface, which matters when a convention apron is all concrete. For longer or irregular footprints, a festival tent runs peaks down a corridor without losing headroom.
During our installs, the exhibitors who get noticed are the ones whose tent is the sign. We produce custom tents with logos, brand colors, and printed sidewalls so a booth reads from across the hall. This is the difference between custom-branded tents that pull booth traffic and a white canopy that disappears into the row next to it.
A 75-tent show is a logistics problem, not a delivery. Here is what our crew manages on a multi-tent job:
We run this playbook for large corporate shows, and the same discipline applies to any outdoor corporate event where downtime is expensive and the schedule is fixed.
A convention tent is a shell until you add the parts that make it usable. Our accessories include flooring, lighting, entry doors, and climate control for Colorado’s temperature swings. Because we manufacture every tent we rent, we match sidewalls and hardware to the exact structure instead of forcing generic parts to fit. We deliver across the Denver metro and the full list of service areas along the Front Range.
Booking Note. Reserve large convention tents 8 to 12 weeks ahead. Our peak window runs May through October and fills first, so multi-tent shows in that stretch should lock dates early to hold both inventory and install crews.
Tell us your booth count, surface type, and dates, and we will spec the right structure from our full range of tent styles. Every event is priced individually for your floor plan, not a catalog rate. Request a quote or call 303-287-4101.

Pricing depends on size, surface, rental length, and accessories, so we quote each show individually. Small 10x10 and 10x20 booth canopies sit at the lower end, while large clear-span convention tents scale with square footage and install complexity.
Start with peak occupancy and booth count. Allow roughly 8 to 10 square feet per standing attendee, then add aisle width and booth footprints. A 40x60 suits a mid-sized registration area, while a clear-span structure covers a full convention floor without center poles.
Yes. Frame and clear-span tents anchor to hard surfaces using weighted ballast rated for the structure, so no staking into pavement is needed. On grass or dirt, we stake instead, and confirm the method during the site review.
For large multi-tent installs, reserve 8 to 12 weeks out. Peak season from May through October books first, and early reservation holds both the tent inventory and the install crew for your move-in window.
